I got the Sky Golem, finally!

It takes ages to craft enough Jard’s Peculiar Energy Sources for getting the Sky Golem – especially for someone who is too lazy to go farm Ghost Iron sometimes, or simply forgets to log in and do the daily crafting on some days, so I could have gotten it a bit faster after all..  But now it is mine!

Taking screenshots of it isn’t so easy as well, considering that thing sways a whole lot while flying around. But at least the noise isn’t so bad, one of the things I always disliked about the flying machines I can make as an engineer – they’re simply too loud to be fun to use. But now I have a robot with an evil goblin face to ride on! I’m just hoping it won’t run away with my gold tonight..^^

No reins from the Headless Horseman again this year :/

I was doing the daily queue thing for getting the Loot-Filled Pumpkin of course, in the hope of maybe being lucky and finding the The Horseman’s Reins. Ending up only getting more Sinister Squashlings than I can carry on top of multiple The Horseman’s Horrific Hood‘s (of course not on a character that can use plate), besides the countless masks. So it seems like I’ll have to keep playing another year and see how it goes when Hallows End comes around for 2014!

But I don’t even care so much about the horse, it’s a rather rare mount anyway and I’m not really expecting to get it. The worst part is that my favourite mount disappeared again: the Flying Broom. T_T

There is no other mount that small and comfortable in the game at all, I still end up using an every day Gryphon or Wyvern most of the time because all these awesome and cool mounts like the different dragons, and now with Pandaria the cloud serpents for example, are nice to look at – but very impractical. It’s so much nicer not to get stuck in every door frame and being able to land on smaller ledges without problem to quickly mine some ore or just for sitting in a nice place with a great view, that it’s always somewhat painful to return to these huge and inefficient flying mounts. If only I would be allowed to keep my broom.. It’s one of the few things I really don’t like at all.

I would probably even buy it from the Blizzard Shop if was the only option for getting a permanent broom they offered, and I’ve never bought anything from there at all.

Well, that was a nice surprise!^^

This ‘little’ fellow is a gift I got tonight:

I completely didn’t expect this!

The reason is that I always thought the Riding Goat was the mount that fit Teribeth the most, it fits a gnome with the more humorous but still cool look they gave it and just scales perfectly in size – other races look just completely out of place on the back of one of those poor goats. Plus the luggage and the bags behind the saddle make it a great addition for anyone who wants to play a character that likes to travel and explore.

Now, of course a goat can’t fly, so I had to move on and leave my trusty mount behind in order to make use of the flying ability, which always made me kind of sad, but it’s nothing I could have avoided. I do like the convenience after all!^^

So this week the Swift Windsteed went on sale, half off is a good deal I guess, so a precious person decided that it’s time to get me a better fitting mount for the little Explorer – and I don’t really know how to repay this. ._.

Of course it’s a present and there is nothing expected to be given back, but I would like to draw even at some point, especially since I really love this mount already, but I guess there will be an opportunity to do so in the future. I will simply have to keep my eyes open!^^

On a different note.. I guess I’m the only one that gets reminded a little of the forest spirit from Princess Mononoke by that face? I know it’s not even a close resemblance, but the red nose, the eyebrows, the ears.. and then it has horns, of course.

Oh well, maybe it’s just my weird brain trying to look for connections again.^^

Anyway! Since I couldn’t get enough of it and took a lot of different pictures already, here have an awesome one of the windesteed doing it’s cool space-bar animation (sadly only in areas where it’s impossible to fly/the flying skill wasn’t learned yet :():

It’s amazing! *_*
